It is an e-learning course given in Spanish belonging to AECS intercultural studies branch, that is geared toward those who value dialogue between cultures, and the fundamental role that education plays in breaking down the barriers that are created as a result of ignorance, lack of understanding, insecurity and lack of communication and solidarity. AECS provides you with your very own e-learning training space that comprises new information and communication technology to enhance the teaching-learning process, and which gives you complete flexibility with regard to the hours you choose to study. With just a computer and Internet connection, you will be able to follow the training from the comfort of your own home or workplace, whilst maintaining regular contact with your course tutor. As soon as you are enrolled on one of our courses, you will be sent a user name and password. All participants will receive by mail a personalized diploma. For those whose mothertongue is not Spanish, the minimum level required to follow the course is B1-B2. Tutor: Prof. Néstor Verona Carballo University of La laguna (Tenerife). He graduated in Geography and History (History of the Arts) and in Social and Cultural Anthropology. He is a specialist in History of Religions. He won the national award from the Ministry of Education and Science for the best materials produced for the project “Religions in the World” (Atman Foundation for the dialogue among civilisations). At present he participates as an expert in the I+D project called “Multireligiosity in Canarias Islands: analysis of the communities and minoritarian religious groups (Pluralism and coexistence, Ministry of Justice). Objectives:
Subjects: The course will be divided in 6 blocks, each one subdivided in turn in 5 topics. Block 1. Approach to the religious fact; Block 2. The ethnic religions; Block 3. Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Compared studies; Block 4. Asian subcontinent; Block 5. Oriental Religions; Block 6. The multirreligiosity in the Contemporary World.
